1. Your Height and Weight

For most bodies, the natural breasts are proportional to the woman’s body size. Petite women with narrow hips normally have small breasts to match. Women who are curvier or big boned often have larger breasts. This means that if a petite woman got large implants, they would not look very natural on her. Whereas the same size implants could work very well on a taller or curvier woman.

• A cup to a B cup is 250cc to 300cc.

• A cup to D cup is 370cc to 430cc.

• B cup to DD cup is 400cc to 450cc.
• C cup to D cup is 300cc to 350cc.

Generally, going up 1 cup size amounts to about 175cc per implant. However, there can be room for more or less filling depending on if you want a smaller C cup or a bigger C cup. The amount of filling also varies by the size of the natural breasts and if they are on the larger or smaller side of their cup size. It is also common for women to have slightly different implant sizes. Filling one implant more than the other is the best way to fix uneven breasts during the augmentation process.

What is Considered a Large Breast Implant vs a Small Breast Implant?

Breast Augmentation Sizes with Silicone and Saline Implants

When it comes to size, the sizing for silicone, saline, and gummy bear implants is the same. 300cc in a saline implant will be the same as 300cc in a silicone implant. 

The key factor for silicone vs saline implants is which type is best for which implant size. Silicone and gummy bear implants are pre-filled with gel that mimics natural breast tissue. This means that a larger incision is needed to place silicone implants. Plastic surgeons normally place silicone implants by making an incision at the crease of the breast. While this incision can be hidden and faded, it can still be visible to others.

On the other hand, saline implants are placed in the chest and then filled up with a saline solution. Because of this, saline implants can be inserted in many ways that silicone implants cannot, like though the nipple, belly button, or armpit. These insertion methods reduce visible scarring.
