Non Surgical Neck Lift – Top 5 Ways to Revitalize Your Neck

Are you unhappy with your neck? Maybe your neck skin is sagging. Maybe you have a turkey chin that you hate.

Qazi Cosmetic Clinic offers both surgical neck lifts and non-surgical neck lifts for all patients.

Non-Surgical Neck Lift Options

The team at Qazi Cosmetic Clinic offers 5 different types of neck lifts that do not require surgery:

  1. Botox, Xeomin, Dysport
  2. Dermal Fillers
  3. Ablative Laser Treatment
  4. Kybella
  5. MicroLipo

Botox, fillers, and laser treatment are designed to improve the texture of the skin. They can reduce wrinkles, erase fine lines, treat sun damage, and even out the appearance of bands around the neck.

Kybella and MicroLipo are designed to address the build-up of extra fat on the neck. These procedures are best for treating a double chin to slim the face and neck.

If you are considering a neck lift, schedule a consultation at Qazi Cosmetic Clinic to learn which procedure will be the best for you.

1. Liquid Neck Lift With Botox, Xeomin, or Dysport

What is Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport?

Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport are neurotoxins that are commonly used for cosmetic procedures. Botox is most commonly used in the face, but it can also be utilized for a non-invasive neck lift. These neurotoxins work by disrupting the nerve impulses that send messages to the muscles under the skin. This prevents the muscles from contracting, which effectively erases wrinkles and fine lines.

Xeomin and Dysport are alternatives to Botox that are a more pure version of the neurotoxin. Dr. Nadir Qazi normally recommends them to patients who are allergic to an ingredient in Botox. They can also be used for people who have done Botox for a long time and have built up an immunity to it.

What Happens During a Botox Neck Lift?

When you get Botox at Qazi Cosmetic Clinic, the procedure lasts less than 45 minutes. The injections are relatively painless; all you will feel is a light pinch. Patients may request pro-nox to ease anxiety, but numbing cream is normally not necessary.

During your procedure, Dr. Qazi will strategically inject Botox into your neck to target the muscles that cause wrinkles. After your procedure, you can go right back to work or school. Some patients experience light bruising near the injection site, but this will fade within a few days.

When Will I See Results After Botox?

After you get Botox for the neck, you may notice some swelling and a small amount of bruising. Once this heals after 3 or 4 days, you will begin to see your initial results. It takes up to 2 weeks to see the full extent of your results.

How Long Does a Botox Neck Lift Last?

Botox normally lasts between 3 and 6 months. This means that you will need a follow-up procedure to maintain your results. This is the trade-off when you choose a non-invasive neck lift. The procedure is short and painless, without a recovery period or any real risks, but it also does not last nearly as long as a surgical neck lift.

    2. How Do Dermal Fillers Work in a Non-Surgical Neck Lift?

If you are familiar with dermal fillers, you probably know that they are most commonly used to create volume in the face. Fillers like Sculptra can also be used to lift and augment the butt without the need for surgery. In addition to these uses, fillers can be part of a surgery-free neck lift. When fillers are injected into the neck, it can fill in depressions in the skin from fine lines and wrinkles. Fillers also prompt the body to produce more collagen, which improves the texture of the skin over time.

How Long Until I See Results After Dermal Fillers for the Neck?

When you get dermal fillers, the procedure lasts between 30 and 45 minutes. Like Botox, it is a relatively painless procedure. All you will feel is a small pinch, then a small amount of soreness that will last about a day. You will begin to see results after 24 hours.

In addition to the initial volume, the fillers will work over the next 6 months as well. Fillers boost your body’s collagen production; because collagen is the protein responsible for skin texture, more collagen means fewer wrinkles and better elasticity.

How Long Will My Results from Dermal Fillers Last?

When you get dermal fillers as part of a non-invasive neck lift, the results will last 6 to 8 months depending on the brand of filler used. For repeat patients, the filler may last a little longer due to a build up of the material under the skin. Once your results start to wear off, you will need to schedule a refresher appointment at Qazi Cosmetic Clinic.

      3. Neck Resurfacing with Ablative Laser Treatment

How Does Laser Treatment Rejuvenate the Neck?

Laser treatment is a useful anti-aging tool because it resurfaces the skin. Ablative lasers, like the CO2 laser, strategically and safely damage the top layer of the skin. This activates the body’s healing power to repair the damage and heal cosmetic flaws like wrinkles, lines, and sun damage in the process.

Who is a Good Candidate for a Neck Lift with Laser Resurfacing?

Laser treatments, especially ablative lasers, are not suitable for all skin tones. For patients with more melanin, some types of laser can damage their skin and cause hyperpigmentation. If you have a darker skin tone, this type of non-invasive neck lift may not be right for you. Dr. Qazi will probably recommend a different procedure that will be better suited to your skin tone.

What To Expect During a Laser Neck Lift

      1. The first step of any laser treatment is for a topical numbing cream to be applied to the skin. This will keep you comfortable. It takes about 30 minutes for the numbing cream to kick in.
      2. When Dr. Qazi uses the laser device on your neck, you will feel pressure and light zaps but no real pain.
      3. The laser procedure lasts about 30 minutes for just the neck.
      4. After the procedure, your neck will be red and sore. You will receive instructions for when you can resume your normal skincare routine.
      5. It can take up to a week for your neck to completely heal from the laser resurfacing. As it heals, be sure to avoid sun exposure, stay hydrated, and only use gentle skin care products.
      6. Most patients require 3-5 treatments before they see their desired results.

How Long Will the Results Last After a Laser Neck Lift?

When you get this type of non-surgical neck lift, you will need multiple treatments spaced a few weeks apart. Once you complete 3-5 treatments, you can expect the results to last 3 to 5 years. You can extend the length of your results by taking good care of your skin and avoiding further sun damage.

      4. What is Kybella and What Does it Treat?

Kybella is another procedure that can improve the appearance of the neck without the need for surgery. Unlike fillers, Botox, and laser treatment, Kybella is not used to treat wrinkles, lines, or bands. Kybella is designed to treat extra fat on the neck and under the chin. It can be a very effective alternative to surgical liposuction or a surgical neck lift.

What to Expect During a Kybella Treatment

Kybella is made from a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid; this is an acid that is normally found in the digestive system to break down fats.

During a Kybella appointment, you will be offered pro-nox or topical numbing cream. Once you are comfortable, Dr. Qazi will inject Kybella into several targeted areas of your chin; most patients require between 20 and 30 injections and those with a larger chin may need up to 50. After the appointment, you will be safe to drive yourself home.

How Long Until I See Results After Kybella?

Most patients require between 2 and 5 sessions to get their desired results. Dr. Qazi recommends spacing their Kybella treatments at least a month apart. After your last treatment, your body will need 3 to 4 weeks to completely heal, then you will be able to see your results.

How Long Does the Results From Kybella Last?

After your desired number of sessions, the results from Kybella can be permanent. Because the fat cells in your chin are destroyed by the deoxycholic acid, they will not come back. However, if you gain weight it is possible to develop a double chin again.

The best way to maintain your results is to keep your body weight consistent. This means that you should avoid doing crash diets, find a form of exercise that you enjoy, and eat a variety of foods.

        5. MicroLipo for Non-Invasive Double Chin Treatment

MicroLipo is another non-surgical neck lift procedure that is designed to treat fat under the chin. Unlike traditional liposuction, MicroLipo does not require general anesthesia; you will be safe to drive yourself home after the procedure.

        What is MicroLipo?

As the name suggests, MicroLipo is a small-scale version of liposuction. It is considered a non-invasive procedure because it can be done comfortably under local anesthesia and topical numbing cream.

For the procedure, Dr. Qazi will make a small incision under the chin and use the MicroLipo device to vacuum out the extra fat cells. The procedure normally lasts about an hour once the anesthetic kicks in. At the end of the procedure, Dr. Qazi will bandage the small incision and send you home with aftercare instructions.

After MicroLipo, it is normal for your neck to be bruised, sore, and swollen; this will last 2 to 3 weeks. After the 3rd week, you will be able to see your initial results.

Are the Results of MicroLipo Permanent?

The body is not able to make more fat cells, so once those cells have been removed with the MicroLipo device, they are gone forever. However, it is still possible for you to harm your results by gaining weight again. If you maintain your results by staying slim, then the results from MicroLipo can be permanent.

After your MicroLipo procedure, you should eat a healthy diet, maintain an exercise routine that you enjoy, and avoid doing any restrictive crash diets.

How Will I Know Which Non-Invasive Neck Lift Treatment is Right for Me?

In general, a non-invasive neck lift is normally recommended for patients who are too young for a surgical neck lift. Anti-aging procedures like neck lifts and facelifts are best for people in their 50s and 60s. If you are in your 30s or 40s, you may not have severe enough sagging, wrinkles, or bands to justify undergoing a surgical procedure.

Procedures like Kybella and MicroLipo can be done at any time for any patient over the age of 18 who does not like their double chin.
If you have questions about a procedure, the best course of action is to schedule a consultation at Qazi Cosmetic Clinic. Dr. Qazi will evaluate your goals, needs, and health history then recommend a procedure that will give you the best results.
