Is MicroLipo suitable for men?
Yes, definitely! Men can enjoy the benefits and results from MicroLipo treatments.
How long will the procedure take?
You should expect the procedure to take approximately 30 minutes for your face, 45 minutes for your face and neck, and 1 hour for your face, neck, and chest. These are all estimated times and treatments may be shorter or longer depending on the patient’s individual needs.
Will the MicroLipo procedure be painful?
The procedure is usually very well tolerated by itself, as we insert a copious amount of numbing medication into the insertion sites.
How many treatments do I need to see my desired results?
Typically, doing this procedure one time will help you achieve your aesthetic goals. Since we combine our Microplipo procedure with Renuvion, the skin tightening effect can last for several years. Dr. Qazi can go over specific expectations with you during your initial consultation.
Can MicroLipo with Renuvion J Plasma or Facetite help define my chin and jawline?
Yes, Microlipo with Renuvion J Plasma or Facetite can define your chin and jawline by removing excess or unwanted fat and tighten the loose skin that is causing your double chin –– like a chin lift or mini-neck lift –– but without general anesthesia or surgery. Furthermore, jawline dermal fillers can help enhance the contour of your face.
What is the cost for a MicroLipo procedure?
Dr. Qazi will provide you with an estimated cost when you meet with him at the Qazi Cosmetic Clinic for your initial consultation. One MicroLipo session is less costly and provides a superior result when compared to what typically necessitates several vials of Kybella, an FDA-approved injectable for moderate to severe fat, which can require multiple sessions for your desired results.
Are there any side effects?
Because a laser is being injected into your chin for neck liposuction, it is common for your skin to bruise and some swelling may occur over the first 2 to 4 weeks after this alternative neck tightening procedure. However, after ice packs are applied, any bruising, redness, or swelling, will usually dissipate after a few days. Skin discoloration, scarring, and numbness are rare, but may also occur.
What are the results of a MicroLipo procedure and how soon can I see them?
Like most minimally invasive facial procedures at Qazi Cosmetic Clinic and Med Spa, you will most likely notice instant results with a MicroLipo treatment. However, Dr. Qazi will also tell you to expect optimal results after three to six months as healthy collagen forms to firm and further define your chin area.
Can I get a MicroLipo is I am pregnant or nursing?
No, our MicroLipo requires numbing medications that are contraindicated in pregnant or nursing patients.
Is there anything I should or should not do prior to my appointment?
We recommend that patients avoid makeup on the day of their procedure; however, we can also remove it for you in the office if required. We also would request stopping NSAIDs, Fish oil, and other blood thinners for at least one week or as approved by your doctor.
How long is the recovery post treatment?
You can expect mild swelling, bruising, redness and numbness immediately after the procedure. However, this should clear up within a few hours to days.
What are the aftercare instructions for MicroLipo?
After this non-surgical procedure alternative for neck tightening, Dr. Qazi tells his patients that you may notice a little bruising, some swelling, and perhaps some tenderness where the liposuction was performed into your chin area. Please note that all of these issues are common and should resolve themselves over the next few days to a week. Many patients experience relief by holding a lightweight cold compress or ice wrapped in a towel to their chins and upper neck areas to help reduce any swelling.
Dr. Qazi does not recommend that you exercise vigorously after getting MicroLipo over the first 24 to 48 hours after this procedure is performed in our offices. Additionally, you should avoid sun and heat, especially massages, tanning beds, and extreme cold, which can all negatively affect your results.
Can I book a special event after my treatment?
Dr. Qazi recommends that you do not book any important social events for three to at least six days after your MicroLipo procedure because minor swelling can occur and to allow your skin adequate time to heal. Also, you should avoid taking blood thinners and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) as they may potentially increase bleeding.
